WELCOME HipAHA CAMPERS!
My name is Diane Armstrong. Officially I am a Life Coach, but as it is with you, there's so much more to who I am than those couple of little words can convey. Mostly I feel as if I'm alive to be happy and help others be happy. I invite you to stroll around the site at your leisure to get a feel who I am and what I do. Then when we finally meet in person we'll already be well along our way to becoming friends.
I already know you're awesome, know why? Because you are here visiting this web site. Every person I've met this way has been uniquely creative in their desire to fashion a life of Dreams Come True. I'm deeply honored to get the chance meet you in person at Camp HipAHA because as much as I'd like to, I haven't been able to find a way to personally meet everyone who visits this site yet. The operative word here is yet, because I know if I can envision it, a Way exists.
Lori, your visionary camp director, wanted something inspiring to offer you on your first evening of camp. So instead of the usual meet and greet, she has arranged for me to bring you my VisionBoard Collage Party. Way-cool, eh? I thought so too! Now since this is a fitness camp, it makes sense that this particular VisionBoard Collage would start out by focusing on your fitness goals.
The great news is that it doesn't need to stop there! In fact, this is what makes a VisionBoard so powerful. Since our lives are made up of many different branches that intertwine (home, work, family, friends...), so it can be with your VisionBoard.
Where to start? As it is with anything new that comes into your life, you need to agree on some level to try it on and walk around in it for a while before discerning whether it is a good fit for you—or not. With VisionBoarding, one of the first things you need to try on is the concept that what you see in your physical world today began as a thought you focused on pretty consistently at some point in the past.
How does that statement feel? If you are able to continue reading with relative ease, you are perfectly poised to create anything else you desire at a much faster pace.
Yes.
I mean Any Thing You Desire.
At a Faster Pace.
You are already that powerful my friend.
The good news about this manifesting-things-more-quickly-thing, is all you have to do is find ways to feel good about the Vision (or version) of what you want in the future, while still in the midst of what you see around you Right Now.
A VisionBoard Collage is a touchstone to stay connected to what you can't presently see.
I use a tree image as the starting point for my VisionBoard Collages because I've found it's easier to get how important it is to nurture the feelings that are most important to us (our roots) which systemically feeds the spiritual, personal and working parts of our life (our branches) so we are able to receive (bloom with) all that we want at a faster pace.
Here's how it works:
Number 1. In the weeks preceding the camp, look through your magazines and collect pictures of what you want in your life.
For example, you may want better muscle tone and healthier eating habits. If so, find pictures that remind you of those things. If you want to more time to laugh and more money in the bank, find pictures of that too.
Let your imagination run wild. If you want it, tear it out and bring it to the workshop! There's no limit to the amount of pictures you can collect.
Number 2. Bring your pictures to the camp. I'll bring everything else, including an 11" x 14" artist's canvas, background material, brushes, and glue. I'll even bring some extra magazines as well.
What inspires you to act?
After you apply the collage background, we'll do an interactive exercise to unearth your roots. Everything you've ever achieved in your life has started from this place. And because this is so, you'll instantly connect with the truth that no matter what images you place in the branches of your tree, success is much easier to achieve when you know how to focus most of your attention on what lies beneath the surface.
Bloom with possibilities!
Finally, you'll complete your VisionBoard Collage by adding your images among the tree's branches. Done & done! A masterpiece blooming with everything you want, and a way to make it happen!
And of course there's so much more! Especially the stories. Rich with meaning and deep emotion, our stories weave in and around the 3-hour project illuminating just how connected we are underneath what can be seen in the physical realm.
What's fantastic about this particular Art Party is that not only will you go home with a custom-made touchstone, you'll also get to practice using it while you're at camp. I must say that while VisionBoarding is a powerful process in and of itself, you'll certainly be amping it up even further by getting the chance to practice using it in this type of setting for a couple of days. This hands-on experience will go a long way in helping you stay connected over the long term to both the feelings and the images that will most support you in receiving your Heart's Desire. Look out Real Life, here You come!
Diane, you are so healthy and happy. I love laughing, it is my most favorite thing to do and I cracked up a lot tonight!
~Andria
What makes my Art Parties so much fun?
When people gather to focus on positive change, insights emerge that far exceed the power of each individual acting on his or her own. So in addition to the trust factor that is immediately created when Kindred Spirits gather, this co-creative synergy takes the VisionBoarding Process to places that amaze, amuse and empower all who take part.
Thank you so much for traveling all the way to Portland to share the light of your heart with all of us. Your workshop was truly inspiring, healing, and heart-expanding . . . and so much fun!!!!! I felt like a carefree kid again—holding the entire world in my hands with no limits but my imagination. And that’s exactly how life should be! Thank you, thank you for all that you are and all that you give!
~Kathy
